Traditional Chinese Medicine has roots that date back as far as 2,500 years ago.  Many of the classical texts are used today to teach students fundamental theory, materia medica, and acupuncture.  Even though East Asian Medicine has a rich, traditional lineage, it is also evolving based  on modern medical and clinical research.  This means East Asian Medicine Practitioners practice a fusion of traditional and modern medicine. Acupuncture and Herbal Therapy can be used to treat musculoskeletal conditions as well as one's internal health.  Acupuncture can help regulate sleep, digestion, and alleviate stress.  Ultimately, the goal of East Asian Medicine is to help your body achieve a state of balance.

The World Health Organization (WHO) conducted controlled trials to assess how well acupuncture can treat different conditions.  The WHO published a final report in 2003 of conditions where acupuncture is an effective treatment.  The full list of conditions can be found here
